Tonto Dikeh has said that she will not be returning to Nollywood again to focus more on her political career. Recall that this popular actress was picked to be the running mate for the African Democratic Congress governorship candidate in Rivers State.

According to a Daily Post report, she made it clear during an interview with BBC News Pidgin that even if her party loses the governorship race in Rivers State that she would not return to acting. The mother of one claimed that she doesn’t love acting again and it's been a long time since she acted in a movie.

According to her, she claimed that she appeared in only two movies in the past ten years. She said that she still loves Nollywood because that is where her career began, but she went further to say that Nollywood hasn't played a major role in her life.

She continued by praising her Nollywood colleagues like Banky W and Funke Akindele for their political bravery and engagement. She also added that she has faith in Banky and Funke and that with them, she has something to cling to.
