Over the years we have enjoyed the performance of top actresses in the movie industry, but do you know there is a Nollywood actress who is an amputee. This means someone who has lost their limb.
The Nollywood actress in question is no other person than Doris Samuel Akonanya, and she is an actor and a producer.
Doris has been open about her life challenges after she was involved in an accident at a very tender age.
According to Thefamousnaija, the actress reported during an interview that she was knocked down by a commercial motorcyclist in Bayelsa State at the age of 13. The aftermath of the accident resulted in her right leg being amputated at a young age.
Doris Akonanya became known after featured in the 2015 movie titled, Susanna, and still went on to produce her own movie titled, Limiltlesss in 2017. See photos of Doris Samuel Akonanya below.
She is also a graduate of Theatre Arts from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
