How time flies!

Looking through old pictures is always just such a huge reminder and wakeup call of how fast time goes. To think, not too long ago, all the women on today’s list were just entering secondary school for the first time unsure of what the future would hold.

Now these women are one of Nigeria’s top leading actresses today. In the past, I did a post titled 13 Adorable Throwback Pictures of Nollywood’s Older Actresses and you guys really seemed to like that post.

So, I thought to myself: why not do something for the newer actresses. I mean, these are the new age of women gracing our screens and even though a lot of these women are still very young, in their 20s, 30s – it doesn’t mean we still can’t throw it back for them as well.

1. Nancy Isime

Beautiful and talented actress Nancy Isime is one woman that has definitely paid her dues in this industry. Working her way up from being a media presenter, the very talented Nancy can now be seen gracing both our small screens in television shows like Jenifa’s Diary where she starred for a bit and on the big screens in movies like Kambili which she led.

Taking to Instagram, Nancy posted a throwback picture of herself with the caption: Bruh! I came out of the womb ready to punch anybody wey wan try me. We couldn’t agree more!

2. Adesua Etomi

Nollywood actress and recent mother Adesua Etomi is by far one of the most prolific newer actresses in Nollywood today. Gracing and starring as the lead in a host of Nollywood blockbusters including The Wedding Party and Sugar Rush, the actress is undisputed in the industry.

3. Beverly Naya

Beverly Naya is a British-born Nigerian actress who is also incredibly wildly popular, most recently for her award-winning documentary, Skin.

King of Boys actress Toni Tones is yet another actress who although has been in the industry for a while is just now getting her name really out there. Her powerhouse performance in King of Boys really put her on the map and the actress is doing amazing things for herself.

Big Brother contestant and Nollywood actress Bisola Aiyeola is one of the most beloved women in the industry and for good reason. The actress is funny, smart, and has starred in some very successful Nollywood movies most recently Sugar Rush.
