Although it has the potential to have negative advertising impacts, many female celebrities and even ordinary citizens continue to use it in order to achieve the body they desire.
In this article, I will highlight 5 Nigerian celebrities that have undergone operations and have come out and said they did it publicly.
Reality Star, Nina
In 2021, Nina Chinonso Onyenobi, better known as Nina, took to social media to explain why she decided on cosmetic surgery after being called out on social media by a body enhancement brand.
She cleared the air by labeling those who were critical of her hypocrites, and she made it clear that she did not perform the surgery for anyone else, and that no one had introduced her to any surgeon.
Remember that Khloe paid her a visit at her hotel in Miami, where the surgery was performed, shortly after she had the procedure.

Melanin beauty, Khloe is one of the most recent celebrities to open up about her surgery.
In an Instagram post posted on Thursday, September 3, 2020, the reality television star hinted that she had a procedure. She shared a video of a lady slamming the person responsible for the release of a viral photo of an unidentified female lying on a hospital bed n*ked, most likely after undergoing a surgical procedure.
Khloe has been showing off her newly acquired backside in revealing outfits on social media, and she appears to be pleased with it.
Nollywood Actress, Tonto Dikeh
In 2017, Tonto Dikeh raised eyebrows when a footage of her undergoing a surgical operation was shared on social media. The footage was shared on Linda Ikeji's television as part of her now-cancelled reality television show.
While a lot of people were still guessing about the surgery, Dikeh went on to express her gratitude to the surgeons who carried out the operation on her. The actress claimed that she embarked on the procedure as part of an effort to increase her own self-confidence in regards to her appearance.
TV Personality, Toke Makinwa
Toke Makinwa admitted for the first time that she has undergone plastic surgery after tweeting about how she disliked her physical appearance and altering it.
She made the disclosure on Thursday, December 27, 2018, when she made a post on her Twitter account, in which she discussed the lessons she learned throughout 2018 and the best decisions she made.
Fashion Enterprenuer, Toyin Lawani
For the first time, Toyin Lawani has disclosed that she has had breast implants placed. She made it clear that she had undergone fibriod surgery as well as breast lump excision in Turkey at the time of the interview.
This was revealed by the fashion entrepreneur on Instagram, in response to a fan who inquired as to whether she had implants.
Toyin said: "Well I did breast implants, after I got disfigured from lumps, who died?"
