1. Seyi Shay
Popular Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay, revealed how she found love this year. She revealed this while speaking to Beat FM in January. The interviewer asked her about the diamond ring on her finger, how she got it and if it was just a fashion ring.
The singer replied that it was given to her by her lover who she referred to as ‘some guy’.
She said that he gave it to her and asked her if she would marry him. Her reply to that was ‘Yes’. She added that it’s a diamond ring for real, and it’s forever.
Even though the singer didn’t reveal her lover’s identity, she seemed excited about walking down the aisle soon.
2. Kemi Adetiba
On the 8th of February 2022, award-winning filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba, took to her Instagram page to announce her engagement to the love of her life. She shared pictures of their engagement with a lengthy caption.
The filmmaker narrated in her caption how she wanted to keep it private and just celebrate alone with her lover, but she couldn’t because she was so excited about this.
3. Mercy Aigbe
After parting with her ex-husband in 2017, Mercy Aigbe finally revealed her newly-found love in January 2022. Even though Mercy initially never revealed the face of her new lover, the Nollywood actress had always hinted to her fans on who she was in love with calling him “Alhaji The Owner”.
The movie star finally revealed who ‘The Owner’ was on the 23rd of January on her Instagram page.
The man is a U.S-based Nigerian, identified as Kazeem Adeoti.
She posted their loved-up pictures as she gushed over him in the caption.
4. Tim Godfrey
Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Tim Godfrey, took to his page to announce that he is now engaged to the love of his life.
He revealed who his lover was and wrote a lovely caption about her. Tim Godfrey talked about how meeting her changed his life, and how grateful he is for getting a ‘yes’ from her.
