Here Are Some Nigerian Celebrities Who Have Gone Back To School Despite Being Popular (Photos)

Education is among the most paramount things in life. It is a priority that supersedes so many other things. Therefore, amassing so much wealth without a degree especially in Nigeria, doesn't portray such a good image of the person in question.

This is the more reason some well-known celebrities at some point in their careers, had to find their way "back to the four walls of the university".

In the 2022 list of celebrities who went back to school after gaining fame, they have testified that it was worth doing. Few of them are showcased below.

Davido

Davido who hails from a royal home of Adeleke dynasty from Ede in Osun state, is one of the famous, celebrities home and abroad. He is not only a music star but a very wealthy young man.

At the age of 16, he schooled at the British International School in Lagos, Nigeria. After then, he moved to America to study business administration at Oakwood University in Alabama.

Davido's status or career would have been affected if he had not completed and gotten his degree.

DJ Cuppy

Before joining the entertainment industry, the famous DJ Cuppy whom everyone is aware off, is Florence Otedola by name.

Luckily for her, she had already obtained a degree in Business and Economics from Kings College in London.

Even though she hailed from the billionaire Otedola dynasty, coupled with her fame, it did not stop her from going back to school to obtain her Master's degree.

Cuppy took off to the prestigious New York University in 2015. There she finally "bagged a Master's degree in Music Business".

Then in 2021, Cuppy gained admission to the well-known University of Oxford to obtain a Master's degree in African Studies as well.

Rema

The popularly known artist Rema, who by his real name is Divine Ikubor, rose to fame fast and remarkably. His sudden rise to "prominence as a teenager came with a lot of questions".

There was a lot of controversies surrounding his educational status which was never spoken off.

So surprisingly, in 2022, the musician "announced that he was going to further his education".

According to him, his mothers insistence to go back to school, encouraged him to do so. He remarkably then got admission into the University of Lagos, and his currently pursuing a degree in Creative Arts.
