2021 was a great year for Nollywood movies, and despite the major impact of COVID-19 on the film industry, some movies surprised fans due to the amazing performance of it's actors and actresses. Some of these Nigerian stars attracted prestigious awards and nominations.

32 years old Stan Nze was one of the most outstanding Nollywood actors in 2021. This is mostly due to his performance in the award winning movie titled Rattlesnake. The movie was originally released in 2020, but became popular after it's released on Netflix in 2021.
2. Sola Sobowale
Sola Sobowale's role in King of boys part 2 was arguably one of the most impactful movie performances of 2021. The 58 years old actress brought in action into the award winning movie.
3. Zubby Michael
2021 was a great year for Zubby Michael. He is arguably one of the most active stars in the film industry today. The 36 years old actor featured in lots of movies last year, some of which includes, Abandoned goddess, Cry for Love, Dancing goddess, Star Boy and many more.
4. Toyin Abraham
From comedy to action, Toyin Abraham had an impactful performance in 2021. Her role in the 2021 movies, The Therapist and The Prophetess really gave fans satisfaction.
5. Broda Shaggi
Broda Shaggi is arguably one of the funniest actors in Nollywood. His 2021 movies, Dwindle and Day of Destiny really made people smile due to his comedic performance.
