Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy are the faces of Nigerian music export currently and they are working hard to put Nigeria on the global map in the music industry.
However, these trio has been fighting themselves for the ultimate crown in their homeland and international.
As it is in a race, so is any competition. There could be only one winner and in this race of Grammy Award, Davido stands the chance to win before Burna Boy and Wizkid will possibly smell a Grammy plaque.
This may sound absurd and to some people blasphemous to think Davido will win Grammy before Burna Boy and Wizkid

1 Grammy Awards Is Not First Come First Served
Grammy Award, which is an award presented by the Recording Academy to recognize achievements in the music industry and considered the most reputable and ultimate award scheme in the music industry world wide, is not given as a ‘first come first served’ trophy.
This implies that, when an artist gets a nomination before his colleague, it does not automatically make him a Grammy Award Winner.
This is so obvious that we can use Burna Boy 2019 Grammy nomination as a fact-cheCK point when lost to Beninese Singer Angélique Kidjo.

2 Nominees In Competitive Category
It sounds more funny anytime Burna Boy is nominated for Grammy Award. Of course his debut nomination was 2019, the 62nd Grammy Awards and his second was 2020 which is the 63rd Grammy Awards.
In 2019, Burna Boy was nominated for Best World Music Album with his African Giant Album. It was bluff considering the artists he was competing with in the category with the biggest artistes like Angélique Kidjo, Antibalas,Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar, and Tinariwen.
In his 2020 nomination, he’s competing for Best Global Music Album with his ‘Twice As Tall” Album against another group of international artists who stands the chance to win over him.

It’s obvious Davido has global fanbase than both Burna Boy and Wizkid. We know there is no mass world wide voting on Grammy Awards by artists fans.
However the voters which comprises solely of music creators, including artists, engineers, producers and songwriters and the academy board members.
However, since these people are in the world with us, they also know how artists pull their fanbase and sometimes, their decisions may partially be influenced by it.
If so, then it’s obvious Davido has much better global appeal and fanbase than Burna Boy an dWizkid and stands the chance to win when nominated.
4 Globla Record Hits
Davido has consistently proven that he has more global hits than both Burna Boy and Wizkid.
His first global hits “Skelewu” was released in 2016 and since then, he has been giving international hits back to back. He gave big one in 2019 with “If” which led to his biggest international remix with R Kelly.
Since then, most of his songs are automatically international hits and his 2020 albulm “A better Time” proves this fact. He featured top Hip Hop artists of the likes of Nas, Lil Baby, and Nikki Minaj.
With Burana Boy, we can’t boast of any top most international artist that he has featured on his own song who are bigger than those Davido featured on his latest album.

Obviously, Everything shows Davido is on his way to grab his first Grammy Nomination and there’s no two ways about that.
